  • Fire and Water Restoration - We currently work with several local and statewide fire and water restoration companies in the Carolinas . They contact us when they are rebuilding a home, church, or building that has sustained fire, water, steam and smoke damage. We pick up the instrument out of fire-damaged structure and bring it to our facility. We do a complete work-up of damage and cost to repair. We work we the construction and insurance agent(s) to ensure that everything possible and necessary will be done to provide excellent care and service in the restoration of your piano. We have a great track record with these companies and insurance carriers and agents. Many times a new piano may be the less expensive option, but the homeowners decide they want to have the instrument restored because it is a family heirloom, and have sentimental memories attached to instrument. In many instances, restoration is by far a less expensive option. A Steinway, Chickering, Mason & Hamlin or Baldwin, etc. can cost far more to replace than the restoration process. Our restoration process allows us to reach all areas and clean, strip, sand, and treat all surface areas and rid piano of smoke smell. Water and steam damage to wood, felts, and metal parts often account for more damage than the actual burning or charring. Loose veneer, rust and corrosion does not always surface or show up immediately. The chemical reaction from substances and materials used to fight fires will cause damages now and in the future. Please call us for advice and we will be glad to give you and estimate.
